hi there... this week has been awesome... was busy yet very blessed at the same time. we are doing a ministry in bhaktapur one of the city in kathmandu, also known as the ancient city. Its beautiful here.. ppl here are awesome... we made lots of friend especially with the cyber cafe owner... he is an awesome guy, friendly and help us alot with the net.. and his internet service is the fastest so far that i have come across... very very bless as well by that.. is like you are in the middle of a small village.. where this shop is the only cyber cafe and is the fastest i have surf so far.. which is good.

Currently we are staying in a church in bhaktapur for a week and is been hectic here as we have only a week to do ministry here.... for the last whole week, the team visited, kathmandu university, public hospital, 2 schools, 1 orphanage, 2 open air evangelism, in a matter of 5 days. Moreover, we are blessed by one of the principle that we visited for lunch and his son gave his life to god and we had an awesome dinner at the orphanage that we minister too as well.

The result here was awesome... we had about 25 salvation in this place. I have to give all the glory to god.. as is been really fruitful here as all of us are really encourage by what god has done here.. and one of my friend calvin had seen his first salvation.

furthermore, the needs of the ppl here in nepal is huge.... the unemployment rate is going up day by day, and the government and the political party here is pretty unstable. There are about 40 percent of the ppl here in nepal are below poverty line and their per capital income is about 350 US dollar a month. Guys.. nepal really need your prayer that more and more ppl will know christ that they would not be bound by the bondage of religion of hinduism and buddism.. is so strong here in nepal.. that the ppl here are too consume with their religion that alot of things are ignore.

pls pray for nepal especially for the christian in the nepal to rise up to take this nation for jesus... cheers mate

A visit back to the village

Hi again.... this week been great... get to do lots of shopping done before we leave to the villages for the next 2 weeks. I will be very sad because i won't be able to write email to victoria... and not be able to communicate through blogspot. Isn't that sad or wat..!!! Anyway... today we went back to the village that we visited for church.. and the response was awesome..

The amount of people that came today is double before and just seeing the people came back to the church after they have receive the lord is so cool. I have receive so much from god just the whole 1 month here in nepal... and really looking forward to see more in the viillages that the past 2 team that have went in.

For clarification... even though there is about 35 of us here.l... however we are split into 4 different team into about 8 to 9 ppl in a group... hence next week we are leaving to 2 villages each we stay for a week. One of the place that we are going... we will be able to see the snow cap mountain in a close distant... it will be so fantastic... will be taking lots of picture.. heheheh.... very an asian thingy... kind of going to be a japanese soon... carry a camera where ever i go... taking heaps of pic.. not much compare to some of my friends.. taken like thousand upon thousand... Anyway.. thank ya guys for alll your prayers...

oh ya.. before i forget.. the last villages that we shown the Jesus film... around 45 ppl came to the lord out of 70... the best we had so far... and the best part was... that day was pouring... all day and was so chilly... thank god that most of the people that we went inviting them came for the film... it was good... get to read the bible again... on luke.. as the book was based on the book of luke.... because the film was shown in nepalese.... sorry..my word is abit random here... not thinking shraight.

Response on our ministry

A little update of what's be going on.... since i'm the stat's person for the team, i will give u some of the figures that came out during the last 2 days of ministry. The response was better than we have expected on the first day around 200 plus ppl came and the church was for once over fill with ppl. we are esctatic to see the response and about 50 plus came to the lord. ON the second day, we went to a slump we did our open air instead of the ministry that we were doing with the teen, children and the woman. INstead we have 2 open air back to back to invite them to come for Jesus film.

It was really good as the church was really small and it was so pack until there is no room for us to be in it. I have estimated about 100 plus as some came and left and more came in. About 26 came to the lord. So far this approach work really well... and we really have to give god the glory for given us this strategy to minister to the ppl.

Just on monday... i was pretty much have to minister to about 50 plus children and thank god for the translator... I really have a great time with the children teaching them nepalese song the only one that i knew and teaching them a go banana song... was good. After that, we sort of told them the story of david and goliath and also nepalese song of how david reign over goliath. Was good. I didn't know that i have the heart for children until i came here.... however i don't think i will be helping out in the children church though. i rather do the song system in church.

thanks all ya guys that have been praying for all of us.. we really appreciate it.... moreover, all of us is at the best of our health able to do his work. i will continue to update u whenever is possible. cheers mate.

PLS COntinue To KEEP us IN Prayer!!!!

THis week been awesome, the whole of this week is actually a dashain festival is a hindu festival i'm not really sure about this festival but apparately is huge where everyone from all over the whole comes back to celebrate this festival. anyway, because of respect and sensitive to the culture, we change our approach by going back to the villages that we have visited and do spiritual mapping and a couple of are sent to high places to praise and worship our king in small hills. Sort of like welcoming the holy spirit in the places.

Moreover, we will be working with the local church to set up sort of a community day. In this community day, we will be introducing health care ministry, children ministry, teenage ministry, art ministry and we will be there on one day and at the end of the whole event we will close we a jesus film. The reason why we change this strategy is because are the than being sensitive to the culture however, we felt lead by god to build up the villages instead of going in to witness to ppl there and leave, we want to help that to build relationship with them as we want to bear fruits that last not short term but long term. IT's awesome, as we been praying for local churches in the villages that we are targeting and god is good, we manage to find them.

Hence, hopefully it would be a huge success as we will be inviting them during the day to come for Jesus film hopefully they will be convicted by the holy spirit to come to know the lord. We are really praying that the whole villages that we goes to will know the lord. we are not targeting one or two but the whole villages. GoD is into multitude not one, but all. If it goes well, we will be doing this in another 2 more villages before we leave to another city for another 2 weeks.

Furthermore, pls pray for us as half of the team are fallen ill, with fever, diarrhea, headache, migrane and others and the spirtual warfare in this place is very evident as everywhere that we goes for ministry we can really felt the heaviness in the place. Even for myself, i got fever and was not able to do ministry for 2 days, thank god i'm much better now but i'm still not at my best as i can't really eat properly, everything that goes in my mouth kind of come out... i really hope that i feel better by tomorrow as, tomorrow is going be our first day of doing the community day. Sven and I will be in charge of the children ministry really hope that we will be able to impart something in their live and hope that they will also come to know the lord. As goes does not restrict anyone even children to knows the lord. We have given tracts and bibles to everyone that can read even children that has gone to school or year or 2.

ON the plus side, this week is awesome as the place that i'm staying in we are able to see snow cap mountain just along the himalaya's... is so so beautiful the most magnificent thing i have ever seen here so far in kathmandu, nepal. I really wish that vic can be here too to experience this with me. I reckon i might come back here again not just for ministry on a short term basis but also for holidays..... is really worth coming here as things are a lot cheaper compare to m'sia. As Aus 1 is equavalent to 50 Nepalese Rupee. is good rate.

In 2 more weeks we are going to nagrakot is another town in nepal and is about 2 hours drive from where i am and we are able to see snow cap mountain in a closer distant. That would be so awesome. I really can't wait to go. Pls continue to keep us in prayer that we will be strong in the lord that god will build us strength to strength and we will not fall sick the whole of next week in doing the community work there in the villages. Thanks guys... i reallly appreciate everything that ya guys have done and being a part of this ministry that i'm in.

Mountain experience

wow today we went to conquer mountain as part of our hiking trip it was exciting.... we were under siege by leeches.... not just one or two.. is like a zillion of it... some of my friends got 20 to 30 on their toes.... is crazy...!!!

DUe to the leeches, half of the team was separated especially the girls... i reckon is because of the leeches that they freak out. Anyway.. we have an awesome time there... we worship when we reach almost the top of the mountain.. we couldn't go to the summit because it takes too long...probably the reason is because we took 5 min hike and 10 mins rest every other time... it took us like 3 an half hour. and we took only about 1 an half hour to get down...

THat's not the best part, we have great difficulty coming down as the rain was pouring like crazy.. i really thank god that i'm a live and i was leech free the whole time.. that was amazing because i'm or a couple of us out of the 20 of us there... every one under severe attack by leeches and i have none... that's crazy.

It was fun going down the mountain with a bunch of the girls... they pretty much scream like every other second because of the leeches... it started getting heaps of it when it was raining...

today was awesome.. but i don't think i want to climb that mountain again....

hi there... i'm very excited of the thing that we are doing here in nepal. God has been a real blessing to all of us... so far we have seen bout 30 salvation that came to know the lord from the last 2 weeks we are here in nepal. As for me... god has been gracious and i manage to lead one person so far to the lord. It was my first ever salvation that i witness to and came to the lord.. i was overwhelm and excited to do more for god and to see ppl come to the lord.

Yesterday on the 3rd of october 2005, it was my first open air evangelism and i shared my testimony of how i came to the lord... I was very nervous and i practise like 10 times before i do my testimony in the public... it wasn't so bad after all. WE had done like about 5 open air evangelism session. The ppl here are really open to the gospel and they are very hungry to know who Jesus christ is and what he had done!!!

God is gracious and he provided us about 1000 nepalese bible and bout couple hundred new testament english bible. Also some churches gaves us around 1000 tracts to give away. It was awesome because a lot of the ppl that have heard the gospel they want to find out more about the good news that we shared. The timing was great because we just received the bible just 2 days ago and we started doing the open air evangelism on this week monday.

I also want to send my gratidute for all that has supported me in prayers and giving me financially... i really want to thank you guys for this opportunity to be a blessing to the ppl of nepal. PPl here are very beautiful and sincere. THe children here are very fun to work with...... i taught them nepalese song... yeah i learn a nepalese song and i manage to sing to them. it was lots of fun..even though the ministry that we are doing is very tiring.. but its all worth it because i'm not doing this for myself bout for god...

Application Day - Week 9 (Fear of the lord)

THis week we have the privildge of having Caleb Brownhill, one of the base leader in Ywam Perth to share on the topic on the fear of the lord. I like his openess, sharing his walk with god with us and how he press on to seek after god revelation. I gain so much understanding more of the topic of fearing the lord. As he was sharing this week, he shared bout seeking god for our personal revelation and really experience his realness in our life. The process of builiding an intimate relationship with him. That we should not dwell on the 2nd hand revelation from the speaker share for the past 9 weeks and books that we read. Than he asked us to read psalm 51:16-17, You do not desire a sacrifice, or I would offer one. You dod not want a burn offering. The sacrife you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, o God. Hence, I presson what the scripture said.

Before we come to the alter, we have to press on to god and invite his holy spirit to come, I was really desperate after god, I cry out in desperation toward god and really seek after him that he may reveal himself to me. I kneel down before him and really cry out to him and press on, that i may long for him and I continue to press on and that i may have hatred in the area that i struggle with sins. That i may have breakthru.... i persist for about 30 to 35 mins or so.. until..

One of my fella brother receive a word from the lord in Matt 7:7-8, Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on kocking and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. That motivate me in more, and i continue to seek after him and really press on and ask him that i may receive his revelation.

For another 10 mins, i receive a word from the lord in Colossians 3:10, Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your creator and become like him. This was a prayer answer by god from him. That i'm renewed by our lord and i'm really excited what god is going to in store for me in nepal for my outreach. That i will trust in him for provisioin that he will provide and see miracles if we continue to press on towards him as god is attracted to our humility in christ.

I encouraged you guys that we can have a breakthrough in our life especially in the area where we fall short of victory (SIN), in our life. If we fear the lord we wouldn't do what is unpleasant in his eyes which is Sinning. Even though we are born a SINNER, we can choose not to sin. Like Jesus, he was a fully man and a fully god and he live a sinless life, righteous before god. We all can have victory in our life, as God has sent his only son to pay the price for us on the cross. That we may enter his kingdom. Press on toward god. God will come to you if you let him. That you may be transform in your heart, mind and will.

Vaccination shots.

Wow... going to nepal for outreach really is a challenge. I have to take bout 7 shots of vaccination before going there.. I have to take hep A and Hep B in one (twindrix), meniningitis, typhoid. Wow... and it is really painful.... i cry when i got shot.....'neh' i was just joking the needle was pretty small.. no big deal. But it is reallly an experience for me as i have not take so many vaccination shots in a day.. Next week i'm taking another 3 more shots on polio, diptheria, tetanus and 4 weeks later another shot of twindrix before i leave the countries.. it is really scary. I think i will get use to it by than.

Knowing You Knowing Me
All in a DAY

Today, I had an awesome day.. why??? I started doing car washing with my fella classmate from DTS at wellingston st, service station (caltex). It was great, lots of cars came thru and we didn't had time for a break. started at about 9.30am and finish exactly at 12pm. God is so faithful providing car upon cars and we got to stop putting the sign because we couldn't handle so many of them.

Came back for lunch and we started settling up for a music fest, catalyst. It was held tonight. All when well, very tired though after all the hardwork we put into in car washing. I was so drain that i crush immediately to bed right after my break.

The music fest, catalyst was all good. THe response from the crowd was really good i reckon bout 150 plus attended not including the ywam came. The music played by 511, skyrocket feat, parker and one more... they are awesome.. I was entirely at the catalyst the whole night... this is because i left to Grace Assembly my home church as the youth have organise and evangelism event which is known as the dessert fair. It was such a fabulous night... i had a great time eating and eating and eating... the food was so good that i felt so much at home in M'sia. They had goreng pisang, teh tarik, cheese cake, durian puff... the best one, tiramisu, and lots of kuih which i have no idea what it call. But all was excellent. Too bad i have to leave early if not i would have take back lots of them for supper.

Than after that, we watch a movie of the 4th wise man... is really interesting bout the story of a guy who is wise came to learn about the prophecy from the book of isaiah that the messiah which is Jesus would born at this particular time when the star shine. He went after Jesus king of the jew for a couple years until he came about a group of outcasts, he settle there for about 30 years until the one Jesus of the nazareth came to the town. As he hear bout him, he was going thru persecution and was to be persecuted on the calvary, he went after Jesus and but by than he was dead on the cross. At this time, he was old and ill with health almost dying god spoke to him. It was a pretty good story. After that, David gave his testimony how he came to know the lord... it was an awesome testimony.. to be honest, i have heard of it.. and it really touch my heart how awesome god is that he save us from our sin and redeem us and gave us life...

than came back to ywam base for catalyst heard the last band parker, it was awesome the best i heard... Thank god i manage to get back on time. than now i'm really crash... been up since this morning....

Prayer REQUEST

Anyway, this week we are talking about Authority and Submission which can be a heavy topic for many of us. There are so many bad impressions and pictures we have of those two words. Unfortunately many of us haven't seen either of those words acted out in a positive way. Today we specifically spent time on submission and obedience. Submission is an attitude of the heart and is unconditional. We often link it with obedience, but obedience is an action and is conditional. In Romans 13:1, Paul writes "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God." Now many times when I think of this, I don't really agree with it. But we can submit without obeying because obedience is an action. We can respect and honor our authorities without obeying them. Just like we can obey our authorities without submitting to them (which is what I find myself doing all too often). That is just a bit of what we talked about today.

So....things that you can be praying about this week:

-We've been meeting every morning to pray over our finances for our outreach portion. We have to have our finances in about two weeks. There is still about $61,000 left combined for everyone in my school. God is going to do miracles to get it in, but you can be praying about it. As for me.. i'm still trusting the lord for provision for my outreach finances as well.. i really hope that you could keep me up in your prayer.. thanks lots all for your support.

WEEK 7 Testimonies.

I suppose to update this last week... but i'm too busy with my work and spending time with victoria and family didn't have much time to blog. Anyway... last week testimony for me is awesome to see how god work in my life.

Err... last week topic was father heart of God, and My speaker post a question whether have anyone been hurt by someone close during our life. As i was pondering upon it... I told myself, i don't think so.. and the holy spirit just reveal stuff and it show me my past which i have suppress it when i was young all the unhappy memories of my teenhood. Just a bit of a background. When i was growing up, there is a point in time both my parents were both workaholics, I can't blame them for anything as they were the provider for the families and they work really hard for it. Hence, when i was growing up i was pretty much alone all the time. My sister is in the boarding school so pretty much i hang out with the television alot. So evidently, this brought up a lot of emptiness in me in relating to others at times. Even in my relationship with Victoria i had some difficulties trying to overcome my openness with her because of the things happen in the past.

As for the next day, John Bills which is our speaker for the week 7, he shared on a testimony regarding how faithful god is even for the little things. He had a student in Germany and she was using this specific toothpaste and it can only be bought in the states(US). Hence, She asked for god's provision that she may have the luxury from god to have the same brand toothpaste that she was using as it was the last bit she can squeeze. She told god, God... this is the last bit i have.. and she threw it in the dustbin. THe amazing thing happen, somehow, there is another girl gave her a packet that she felt god has asked her to give.. and u know what it was the toothpaste she requested from god.

As for my testimony on that day, i didn't pray for huge stuff.. something simple, i pray to long for a hug from the father just to comfort me. And you know what.... after 10 mins pass and we were given loo break. THe speaker came up to me and call my name... i was like okie.... you know what.. he gave me a hug.. it was really an awesome experience. As i know is from the father we serve.

On the following day, we have praise and worship on friday. It was an exciting experience, in the beginning as usual, you sing. Than, shortly after, i started crying, kneeling down praising god why is he worthy to be praise, as he die on the cross to redeem us of our sins. An image of Jesus taking all the sins with him even though he was sinless.. and his unfalling love just touch my heart. God impress in me that i should tell my parents how much i love them. As he have love me... In obedient i call my parents and told them how much i love them and how much i'm bless by them. You might be wondering why i make such a big deal bout saying the 3 words. THis is because in my family we seldom say we love each other. So i told them i would like to be the one taking the initiative...

You know what... we can let them know how much we appreciated our parents now, when they are very much alive rather than at the funeral when they are dead. The dead can't hear you. That's it from me now.. i have to do my morning devotion right now..

Topics include: Character of God, Repentence and Forgiveness, Hearing God's Voice, Intercession, Lordship, Relationships, Father heart of God, Missions, Authority/Submission, Fear of the Lord, Freedom in Christ, Evangelism, Spiritual Warfare

Followed by a 3 month cross-cultural outreach: Making God known to the nations!

At the moment we are in week 8 now.... and i have like another 4 more weeks to go before i'm going to do the cross-cultural outreach. For me, my outreach destination is Nepal and western australia. i will be stayinging in nepal for 2 months before coming back here to WA for another 3 weeks before my course end. Isn't that great... i'm really excited and pump up to go to reach out to the lost in nepal. As for you all reading this.. i'm really encourage you to do DTS. Is definitely going change your view of what being a christian is all bout. that's it for now...

I would like to take this opportunity to thank michelle and victoria to make this blogspot happening... as i have no clue or watsoever how it works. I have to admit... michelle is so super highly talented in desingning this webpage. I'm blown away by her creativity. Thanks lots for all your help if you are reading this. As for my darling victoria... thanks for making this happening as well. as she put lots of effort in making sure that i'm consistently share my thought here so that she knows what i'm currently learning and experincing in DTS!!!
